About Resume Cover Letter Template

Who am I and why should you listen to me?

Hi, Trevor Hindmarsh here and I have been a self employed contractor in the oil and gas business as well as owning my own retail business.

What the heck has this got to do with getting a job you may ask…

Pretty simple, being a self employed contractor I have to gain work on projects around the world on a regular basis. Some contracts last for 3 Months, some for 6 Months etc, so I have to have my resume and cover letters bang on the money to get my foot in the door.

There is a lot of competition in my field so I have to ensure that I sell myself to agents and human resources staff so that I can gain an interview and get my next start.

To start with the first thing these people see are my resume and my cover letter, so I have to ensure that I make them look bang up to date and add the necessary buzz words in order to keep me out of file number 13 (the bin) and into the must interview pile…

Not only have I experience keeping on top of my own cover letters and resume, I have seen many resumes and covering letters when I was employing staff with my retail business.

I have to say that I have seen many poor attempts to get an interview which is surprising considering these people want a job. In my experience folks just seem afraid to sell themselves and really gain attention, this is a serious error as you have around 3 seconds for any future employer to either put your details in the bin or call you for an interview.

Believe me when I say you need to sell yourself, it is the one split second chance you have to get noticed and get that telephone call…

I must of used every trick in the book till I came across Jimmy Sweeney’s cover letter and resume package. You have everything put out in step by step fashion so all you need do is change details to suit you then print out, easy.

If you follow the blueprint you will soon have the phone ringing for your next interview. I have used this system myself and recommend it to anyone looking for a professional resume and cover letter.
